College and University
Short Term Certificate of Study

Short-term training programs consist of 19 credits or fewer. These programs generally include at least one quarter of study and can reach up to four quarters.
Associates of Arts (AA)

A liberal arts degree fulfilling the general requirements taken by college freshman and sophomores. Students must complete 90 quarter credits in courses numbered 100 or above and meet specific distribution requirements. Following completion of this degree students generally continue on for their Bachelor Degree.
Associate of Science (AS)

For Science Majors - Courses in this program parallel the first two years of a university program, and credits earned in these courses generally transfer to four-year colleges throughout the United States. Study in this program leads to an Associate of Science (AS) degree (for science majors). Students must complete 90 quarter credits in courses numbered 100 or above and meet specific distribution requirements. Following completion of this degree students generally continue on for their Bachelor Degree in the sciences.
Associates of Applied Sciences (AAS)

The AAS degree is designed primarily to prepare students for successful employment in a professional or technical area. Though some transfer options are available to holders of the AAS, the degree is not intended to transfer.
Bachelor of Art (BA)

Is a broad interdisciplinary undergraduate degree program encompassing general education, electives and major area of study courses. It is a degree earned from a college or university upon completion of at least 180 college level quarter credits in a specific major. A Bachelor of Arts may also be referred to as a bachelor’s, or undergraduate degree.
Bachelor of Science (BS)

Is a direct undergraduate degree program focused on a specific Science, Technology, Engineer, Math (STEM) education. It is a degree earned from a college or university upon completion of at least 180 college level quarter credits in a specific major. A Bachelor of Arts may also be referred to as a bachelor’s, or undergraduate degree.
